Debby was born and raised in California. She joined the church at age 17, and attended BYU for three years, majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in International Relations. She left after her junior year to serve in the Italy Milan mission. After her mission, while working in raise money to return to BYU, she met and married her husband and raised five children. She finally returned to BYU in 2008 and completed her BYU Communications degree. Following graduation, she took a position with the Theatre and Media Arts Department, as an assistant program director and internship coordinator. In 2009 she joined the School of Communications as the School Secretary. She loves to sing, travel, cook, shoot and read mystery novels. She also loves watching movies, going to plays and concerts, and spending time with her eight grandchildren.
