David Johnson is the City Manager of Blanding, Utah. He worked previously as the Public Relations and Economic Development Director for the City of Saratoga Springs. David has more than a decade of award-winning public relations and management expertise in the private, public and non-profit sectors.

His career includes a broad spectrum of experience in strategic and crisis communications, media relations and public outreach, event planning, government management, political campaigns and fundraising. David attributes his career success to two basic philosophies: “Simplicity and consistency create clarity and understanding” and “Every good writer needs a few good editors.”

David earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Brigham Young University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Utah. He and his wife are avid runners and outdoor enthusiasts, with three daughters and a son.
