Carrie Moore spent 25 years as a journalist and editor at The Deseret News in Salt Lake City. She spearheaded, edited and wrote for the paper’s award-winning religion and ethics section, and covered health care and general assignment topics, winning national, regional, state and local reporting awards from a variety of media organizations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from BYU and a master’s degree in communications from the University of Utah. She has been an adjunct faculty at Brigham Young University since 2005, teaching media writing, and recently spent five years in the healthcare field working in pastoral patient care as a board certified chaplain. She is currently a lab manager at BYU’s Universe newsroom, and serves as executive director of The Bradley Center for Grieving Children and Families, a local non-profit organization.
