The PR Intelligence Lab is our on-campus, student-run PR firm. It exists to bridge the gap between students’ educational experience and the working world. Each semester the Agency is hired to perform elements of PR work for real-world clients.
The PR Intelligence Lab offers three main areas of service (some conducted in a classroom environment):
Research
From focus groups to conducting surveys to social media monitoring the PR Intelligence Lab provides clients valuable, actionable data. Recent research clients include Allstate (Utah offices), Vivint, and the Utah Department of transportation.
Strategic planning
Developing plans that coordinate communication efforts increases the likelihood that those efforts will be successful. The PR Intelligence Lab offers strategic plans that define specific audiences, develop targeted messaging, and offer strategies and tactics to deliver those messages. Recent strategic plans have been written for Habitat for Humanity Utah County, the United Nations Foundation, and Vivint.
Implementation
Public relations in practice includes everything from building media lists to event planning to content creation. The PR Intelligence Lab offers a variety of services in these areas. Recent clients include New York PR firm Thatcher+Co., outdoor apparel company Cotopaxi and Deseret Book.
